Pub and Social Meets

We now meet every Monday at 9pm (except Bank Holidays when there is usually an away trip), the venue is the “The Castle”, Castle Hill, Cambridge. Parking is available in the car park of the Shire Hall just up the road from the Castle. Various arrangements for club trips including car sharing arrangements are usually made on the Monday before the trip. If you cannot attend on this day please make direct contact with the climbing or the caving secretary.

  • May 24th to 29th, Cambridge beer festival
  • June 5th, Strawberry fair
  • July 29th to August 1st, Cambridge Folk Festival
  • Friday October 29th to Sunday October 31st, Annual Dinner Meet (40th)The Dinner Meet will be on the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st of October in the village of Birchover in the Peak District, this is about 4 miles north west of Matlock, staying at Barn Farm, G.R 244623. The village is convenient for climbing, caving and walking. There are two spacious bunk houses, (although we would probably only need one), each sleeping 15 but more could be accommodated on the floor, and also a campsite. The cost of a bunk house is £100 per night so with 15 or more it is quite cheap per person. There are cooking facilities and showers. Camping is £5 per person per night.
