Caving and Climbing in Yorkshire
From a caving perspective, Yorkshire is all about the deep pot holes and is
a great place to learn about using ropes to descend and ascend caves. As
well as the underground wonders, the stunning limestone scenery of the
Yorkshire Dales is a great place for walking and climbing.
Subject to confirmation we will be staying at the YSS hut; hut

This hut is ideally located in the heart of the Dales (and next door to a
pub!) with easy access to a wide variety of caves suitable for all
abilities, and an in-house Single Rope Technique (SRT) training facility,
for those new to vertical caving. For those of a less trogliphilic nature,
two of Yorkshires famous Three Peaks are can be tackled directly from the
hut, and for those climbers looking for something different, Hull Pot is
spectacular, and has some good trad and sport routes – It’s within walking
distance of the hut and almost counts as a cave ;o)
