Climbing trip to North Pembroke

North Pembroke offers excellent sandstone climbing on its South coast and wilder, woollier and less developed gabbro to the North, while the big limestone classics of South Pembroke are about an hour’s drive away if you fancy a day trip. If you want a break from climbing there are also options on surfing, walking, birdwatching or just sitting on the beach.

We’ll be staying at Porthclais Farm campsite, which is close enough to the crags that you can practically belay from your tent. It’s about a mile from Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, which has a good range of pubs, cafes, chip shops and so on.
