2002 Climbing Meets List
The following list should give you some idea of the official climbing activities of the Club during 2002. All Transport arrangements will be sorted out at the pub meet proceeding the trip. If you are unable to attend the pub please telephone or e-mail the Climbing Secretary, before the Monday pub meet.
- January 4th to 13th, France JaneSki takes to the road again, for a week of skiing (Fully Booked!).

- February 2002, Scotland, Accommodation booked for Thursday 21st February – Sunday 24th February inclusive, Inchree Centre, Inchree, Onich, Fort William; GRID REF 0204633 (O.S. 41); http://www.hostel-scotland.com/ ; 16 places.
- March 2002, Easter, Cornwall, Friday 29th – Monday 1st April, Sea View Caravan and Camping site, Sennen. Best guidebook (new !) : ‘West Penwith’. Time to try out that wall honed fitness on real rock. Or just get some fresh sea air !
- April 2002, Wye Valley, Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th, Symmonds Yat, Camping Christchurch Caravan and Camping Site (GR 575129) http://www.forestholidays.co.uk/ , walking distance to pub and climbing. Useful guidebooks from the Climbers Club: ‘Wye Valley’ and/or ‘Symonds Yat’ (Note: 8 pitches booked, if numbers are tight, priority will be given to people willing to tent share. No dogs)

- November 22nd to 24th, Portland, camping Sea Barn campsite (to be confirmed). Portland (and Swanage) has the most benign weather of any UK climbing destination. Portland is also the UKs premier sports climbing venue and the only venue with bolted routes from f 3C (VDiff/Severe) upwards.

Pub and Social Meets
We now meet every Monday at 9pm (except Bank Holidays when there is usually an away trip), the venue is the “The Castle”, Castle Hill, Cambridge. Parking is available in the car park of the Shire Hall just up the road from the Castle. Various arrangements for club trips including car sharing arrangements are usually made on the Monday before the trip. If you cannot attend on this day please make direct contact with the climbing or the caving secretary.
