North Wales
We have exclusive use of the Wolverhampton Mountaineering Club hut (‘The Cottage’) for the nights of Friday 9th February and Saturday 10th February. £10 per person per night.
The hut is located near the slate quarries of Llanberis. Ideally situated for those wanting to brush up on Winter walking and navigation skills prior to Scotland in March, or for climbing either nearby or on the wealth of sport crags on the North coast, or even Anglesey.

South Wales I
We’ll stay at Godre Pentre (Welsh for
end-of-the-village) in the village of Ystradfellte between Abadare and
Brecon. The hut is bunk-style accommodation. A great picturesque
village, a short drive to OFD area, also local caves – Porth yr Ogof,
LNRC, etc. Additionally, the cottage is extremely well placed for the
Waterfalls Walk and for climbing at Dina’s Rocks.

South Wales II
We have confirmed space for 10 people at the SWCC hut,
which is at a stone’s distance from all the OFD cave complex and is a
fantastic venue for newer and older cavers alike.
The hut is in a great location for caving and walking. There’s also some
climbing (Dinas Rock is not far away and has 272 routes) and the
Penderyn distillery. Most of the caving here does not require any
specialist gear, and there are loads of beginner friendly options.

Lake District trip
We have booked the Barrow Mountaineering and Ski Club hut at Coppermines Cottage, near Coniston.
The area is best known for multipitch trad climbing routes on mountain crags. Nearby Dow Crag is packed with classics across the grades, and Langdale (including Gimmer Crag, Pavey Ark, Bowfell, and two Raven Crags) is about 20 minutes’ drive away.
In the area, there is also some single-pitch trad, sport climbing in slate quarries, and of course excellent hillwalking and scrambling options.
